Kitchen Porter ~ Duchy of Cornwall Nursery
The Role
An exciting opportunity to join this busy operation in a stunning location that includes our Café, Orangery and Woodland Terrace. General duties include washing of all plates, cutlery, pans and keeping the kitchens tidy/clean. Some light kitchen prep work and following all kitchen systems/cleaning programs.
The Right Candidate
Strong experience in a busy restaurant environment is essential. The right candidate will be naturally level-headed under pressure, possess the ability to work quickly and work well with others in a busy, yet calm environment.
Details/Reward Package We are looking for an individual seeking part-time hours from 16-24 hours a week on a rota system between the hours of 9am and 5.30pm and could be weekdays or weekends as required. These hours will flex as they are primarily to support peak times and holiday cover. (The Nursery is not open during evenings but occasional events will need cover) £13.45 per hour (for those 18 years and older) and generous rates of pay for 16 and 17 year olds. Additional 12% non-contributory pension scheme + tips, 28 days holiday entitlement pro rata.
