Overview
We are seeking a professional and experienced HGV Class 2 Driver with a Truck Mounted Forklift (Moffett) certificate to join our logistics team. You will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of materials to customer sites, ensuring that all loads are handled and offloaded safely and efficiently.
Duties
- Conduct thorough vehicle and equipment checks before and after use, reporting any issues promptly.
- Ensure all goods are properly secured and handled with care during transport.
- Complete delivery documentation accurately and maintain records in compliance with company and legal requirements.
- Provide excellent customer service and represent Vivalda Ltd professionally at all times.
- Adhere to all transport, driver hours, and road safety regulations.
- Liaise with internal colleagues in regard to customer orders and deliveries, ensuring you are aware of any special requirements or restrictions, and you are in receipt of all the required paperwork
- Liaise with the site contact to ensure a smooth off-load
- Occasional warehouse duties when required
- Any other reasonable requests from Management
Qualifications / Experience / Person Specification
- Valid full driving licence (Category C, with at least 5 years driving experience)
- Experience of multi-drop deliveries
- Valid truck-mounted forklift (Moffet) certificate
- Reliable – excellent attendance and timekeeping
- Flexibility to work early mornings or longer hours as required.
- Flexibility to complete overnight stays for longer drops that cannot be completed safely in one day.
- Understanding of and commitment to provide the highest standard of customer service
- A positive team player, with demonstrable ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
- A ‘can-do’ attitude, looking for solutions rather than problems
This role requires a dedicated individual committed to safe driving practices, punctuality, and delivering excellent service. Applicants should possess a valid commercial driving licence (HGV Class 2) and relevant experience in the transportation industry.
