Job Description:
ChannelFM Cleaning & Support Services are looking for a reliable and hardworking Cleaning Operative to join our team at a large, vibrant school in the Bideford area.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys working in a busy school environment.
The Role
You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the school, ensuring classrooms, communal areas, toilets and other designated areas are cleaned to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitise common areas, hallways, and bathrooms on a regular basis.
- Remove rubbish and recycling, ensuring that bins are emptied and cleaned as needed.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards immediately to management.
- Follow all cleaning protocols and safety procedures to ensure a hygienic living environment.
- Restock supplies as needed, such as toilet paper, soap, and cleaning products.
- Assist with special cleaning projects and deep cleaning tasks as requested.
- Maintain a positive and respectful attitude towards residents, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
Qualifications:
- Previous cleaning or janitorial experience is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly.
- Strong attention to detail and organisation skills.
- Must be able to follow instructions and adhere to cleaning schedules.
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with residents and staff.
