Job Purpose:
To safely and efficiently deliver goods to customers while maintaining excellent customer service and complying with all transport legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive HGV Class 2 (Category C) vehicles safely and legally.
- Complete multi-drop deliveries and collections.
- Carry out daily vehicle safety inspections and defect reporting.
- Ensure deliveries are completed accurately and on time.
- Complete delivery paperwork and electronic PODs.
- Comply with Drivers' Hours Regulations, Working Time Directive, and company policies.
- Maintain a professional and courteous approach with customers.
Essential Requirements:
- Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
- Valid Driver CPC qualification.
- Digital Tachograph Card.
- No more than 6 penalty points (no major endorsements).
- Good knowledge of UK road transport regulations.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused.
Desirable Skills:
- Previous multi-drop or pallet network experience.
- Good geographical knowledge.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
