at Maintenance Technician (Multi-Skilled)
Location: Barley Chalu, Wymondham
Hours: 06:00–14:00, Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)
Overtime: Paid at an overtime rate (evening/weekends)
Pay: £40,000 - £50,000. Salary dependent on experience and qualifications
The Role
We are looking for a reliable Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep of our production equipment and facilities. Gas and pipework experience is preferred, but candidates with general maintenance experience will be considered for a junior role.
Key Duties
- Carry out routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections on machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to minimise downtime.
- Complete scheduled preventive maintenance tasks.
- Work with production teams to prioritise urgent maintenance needs.
- Keep basic maintenance records and work logs.
- Assist with installing and testing new equipment.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
- Manage spare parts and liaise with external contractors when needed.
Skills & Experience (Desirable but Not Essential)
- Maintenance, mechanical or plumbing experience (industrial experience preferred).
- Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 (or similar) are an advantage.
- Ability to troubleshoot and carry out repairs independently.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to work occasional overtime.
- Physically fit and able to carry out hands-on maintenance tasks.
