Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse
- Assist with inventory management to track stock movements accurately
- Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organization in designated areas
- Perform routine equipment repairs or maintenance checks on forklifts and other warehouse machinery
- Support shipping and receiving processes by preparing goods for dispatch or receipt
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely, adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of daily warehouse operations
Skills
- Proven experience working in a warehouse environment with familiarity in materials handling
- Valid forklift certification with demonstrated ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently
- Mechanical knowledge for basic equipment repair and troubleshooting
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments accurately
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures to ensure proper documentation and handling
