Clearwell Mobility is a leading provider of mobility equipment across the South East, committed to helping people maintain their independence and improve their quality of life. We are currently looking for a Workshop Technician Engineer to join our engineering team at our head office in Burgess Hill.
This hands-on role involves assembling, servicing, and refurbishing a wide range of mobility products. Whether you already have technical experience or are looking to develop your skills in a growing industry, we offer full training and a supportive working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Workshop Technician, your main duties will include:
- Service and refurbish pre-owned mobility scooters and equipment
- Diagnose faults and carry our repairs on customer products
- Test batteries, charges and related components for warranty claims
- Perform routine maintenance on wheelchairs and walking aids
- Support field engineers with the installation of stairlfits and ramps in customers homes when required
- Maintain the correct paperwork and update the computer system with repair details
- Regularly in contact with suppliers for spare part information
- Support retail shop staff with technical enquiries

Essential:
- Hands-on, practical approach to problem-solving
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality and safety
- Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- Basic computer literacy for logging service records
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a technical, workshop, or mechanical role
- Knowledge of mobility equipment or similar products
- A full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential)
