About the role
We’re looking for a confident, friendly Market Stall Assistant to run our matcha stall at Lower Marsh Market. This role is customer-facing and independent — you’ll be trusted to represent the brand, engage customers, prepare drinks, and drive sales during busy lunchtime hours.
Previous barista experience is preferred, and sales experience is essential.
This is ideal for someone who enjoys food & drink, talking to people, and working in a fast-paced market environment.
Key responsibilities
- Preparing and serving matcha drinks to a high standard
- Engaging passers-by and confidently promoting the products
- Handling payments (card-based)
- Maintaining a clean, organised stall
- Setting up and packing down the stall independently
- Representing the brand professionally and warmly
Requirements
- Previous barista experience preferred (coffee, matcha, or similar)
- Strong sales or customer service experience essential
- Confident, outgoing, and comfortable approaching customers
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Food hygiene awareness (Level 2 preferred but not essential)
