Summary
Sessions are one hour per day afterschool 3/3:30 - 4/4:30pm - Sessions available Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver structured STEM-based afterschool sessions (ages 4–11)
- Set up and pack down equipment efficiently within school settings
- Manage groups of up to 16–20 children
- Ensure behaviour is managed in line with School of Play expectations
- Create an engaging and inclusive environment for all participants
- Adapt activities based on age, ability, and engagement levels
- Communicate professionally with school staff, parents, and team members
- Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and operational procedures
Example Activities You May Deliver
- Simple engineering challenges (bridges, towers, structures)
- Coding basics (using tablets or offline logic games)
- Science experiments (safe, practical, and engaging)
- Problem-solving and team-based challenges
- STEM-themed games and competitions
Person Specification
Essential:
- Experience working with children (coaching, teaching, childcare, camps)
- Strong communication and organisation skills
- Ability to lead and manage groups confidently
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
Desirable:
- Interest or background in STEM subjects
- Coaching, teaching, or childcare qualifications
- Experience delivering structured sessions or clubs
- First Aid qualification
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £25.50-£27.00 per hour

- Driving Licence (preferred)
