The main purpose of the role is to prepare and process the monthly payroll with accuracy and to provide full employee life-cycle administrative support to the Human Resources Department.

Key responsibilities:
PAYROLL:
-
Administer full monthly payroll process to ensure that all employees are paid on time and correctly

To provide day to day payroll and HR administration support in a timely and accurate manner

Be the first point of contact for all payroll queries

Ensure payroll administration is kept up to date
-
Provision of accurate weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual management information

Ensure all relevant paperwork/authorisation is received for any additions, deletions, and amendment to payroll

Maintain accurate records for both SSP and Company Sick Pay to ensure no overpayments occur

Distribution of monthly payslips in line with payroll deadlines
-
Completion of pension contributions for all pension schemes within an accurate timeframe

Maintain a consistent approach to GDPR and ensure all processes remain compliant
HR:
-
Maintenance of HR database on an ongoing basis to ensure this is accurate at all times

Responsible for administration of relevant benefit schemes
-
Responsible for the distribution of electric charging fobs and administration of the portal
-
Manage all administration for the employee lifecycle, including new starter’s documentation, leavers, contract changes etc.

Produce employment contracts in a timely manner
-
Assist with the on boarding of new starters including the preparation and scheduling of week one induction plans.

Contribute to the development of processes and policies and assist with implementation

Support ad hoc administration tasks for the Managing Director when required

Provide support on HR projects

Maintain a consistent approach to GDPR and ensure all processes remain compliant
Experience or skills that would be desirable:
-
HR & end to end Payroll experience is essential
-
Experience in working within the constraints of a confidential environment
-
Sage 50 knowledge
-
Strong knowledge of GDPR working practices and maintaining compliance

Ability to prioritise work, taking responsibility for areas of work seeing them through to conclusion

Intermediate/advanced IT skills, including Excel, Word and HR systems
-
Strong interpersonal skills ensuring queries are dealt with efficiently, with tact and confidentiality

Excellent attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills
-
Maintain confidentiality and appropriate handling of sensitive customer information

Highly numerate and literate
