Marketing Assistant - About the Role
We're looking for a creative, organised and enthusiastic Marketing Assistant to support the marketing of our beautiful gift publishing range, including notebooks, puzzles and other stationery products.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to build a career in marketing and the publishing industry. You'll gain hands-on experience across social media, influencer marketing, email marketing, digital campaigns, design and brand partnerships, with plenty of scope to develop your skills and contribute your own ideas.
Key Tasks / Responsibilities
Social Media & Content
- Create engaging content for our social media channels, including graphics and short-form video.
- Schedule and publish content across multiple platforms.
- Monitor social media trends and identify opportunities to increase engagement.
- Respond to comments and messages, helping to grow our online community.
Email Marketing
- Assist in planning and producing regular email campaigns using Mailchimp.
- Write engaging newsletter copy and select featured products.
- Monitor campaign performance and maintain a healthy mailing list.
Influencer & Creator Marketing
- Build relationships with influencers, creators and online communities.
- Coordinate product gifting and influencer collaborations.
- Help manage our brand ambassador programme.
- Research new creators and partnership opportunities.
- Organise giveaways and collaborative campaigns.
Digital Marketing
- Support digital marketing activity across Meta, TikTok and Amazon.
- Assist with paid social campaigns and promotional activity.
- Help maintain online storefronts and product listings.
- Support campaign reporting and ongoing optimisation.
Creative Marketing
- Design marketing assets for social media, email campaigns and point-of-sale materials.
- Coordinate lifestyle photography and organise marketing assets across digital platforms.
Campaigns & Partnerships
- Support the planning and delivery of seasonal marketing campaigns.
- Work with licensors and external partners on collaborative promotions.
- Research and develop new marketing opportunities, events and creative partnerships.
General Marketing Support
- Provide marketing support across the wider business when required, including occasional assistance with our book publishing programme.
About You
You'll be someone who enjoys both the creative and organisational sides of marketing. You're full of ideas, love discovering new trends and creators, and have excellent attention to detail. You'll be confident juggling a variety of projects and excited to learn new skills in a supportive publishing environment.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A creative eye for design and branding.
- Experience using Canva.
- Good understanding of social media platforms and current trends.
- Proactive, enthusiastic and keen to learn.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise effectively.
Desirable
- Experience using Mailchimp or another email marketing platform.
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop or other Adobe Creative Suite software.
- Knowledge of influencer or creator marketing.
- Familiarity with Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Shop or Amazon Seller Central.
- An interest in publishing, stationery, design or gift products.
- Although not required, please mention if you have experience in audio or podcast editing
Pay: £27,000.00 per year
