Prior Power Solutions has an exciting opportunity to join the Engine Service Department as Parts Co-ordinator supporting our customers across the commercial marine, offshore energy and industrial sectors. This is a full-time, permanent office position in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk.
As a key member of our team, the Parts Co-ordinator reports to the Service Team Leader and Service Manager to help drive the growth and success of our business. We are seeking an individual who is skilled in organisation and is proactive in their day-to-day work.
The Parts Co-ordinator is responsible for identifying parts via manufacturer parts systems and schematics, and sourcing and ordering parts required by the service team. The Parts Co-ordinator ensures parts ordered are received on time and as per the purchase orders. They also organise shipment and return of parts and old units to suppliers.
The successful candidate will have strong knowledge and capability with all Microsoft applications and have a natural mindset in problem-solving and thinking outside the box.
Experience
- 3 years’ previous experience in a parts procurement environment identifying engine/mechanical parts
- Background in procedural and methodical working
Responsibilities
- Identification of parts from manufacturer parts systems and schematic drawings
- Sourcing of parts from OEMs and alternative suppliers
- Raising purchase order requisitions and tracking deliveries
- Booking in and out of all materials to jobs
- Planning of upcoming tasks to ensure parts are available on time
- Ensuring accuracy of parts orders
- Monitoring and return of core and old units
- Organising and returning warranty parts
- Any other duty or task that may be deemed reasonable
Skills
- Strong knowledge of all Microsoft Packages
- Ability to think outside the box to problem solve
- Understanding of QHSE in a similar working environment
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
