We are looking for a part time cleaner to join our friendly nursery team. Our nursery is a 64-place nursery based in a large house in Upminster Essex. We care for children from babies to 5 years. We are passionate about maintaining our high level of cleanliness / tidiness throughout our nursery and are looking for someone who would enjoy taking on this role and responsibility.
We are a very friendly nursery with a wonderful staff team, but due to the nature of the work this would suit an individual with considerable cleaning experience who understands and appreciates cleaning techniques and hard work. With our passion to maintain a top class, extremely clean nursery, we have high expectations which we are keen for individuals to understand from the beginning. The post includes
- Clean and sanitise nursery rooms, play areas, toilets, kitchens, offices, and communal areas.
- Vacuum, sweep and mop floors.
- Dust and wipe down furniture and surfaces.
- Clean and disinfect toilets, sinks, and changing areas regularly.
- Refill cleaning and hygiene supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls.
- Follow infection control procedures and COSHH guidelines when using cleaning products.
- Report any maintenance issues, hazards, or damaged equipment to management.
- Ensure cleaning equipment is stored safely and securely after use.
- Support deep cleaning tasks 3 x per year.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while working within the nursery environment.
- Support safeguarding and health & safety policies at all times.
Requirements
Hours – 4 hours per week
Times -6pm -8 pm
Days- Tuesday and Wednesday
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
