Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Bar and Restaurant Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our busy heritage bar and restaurant establishment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the General Manager in all aspects of the business including managing staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of bar and restaurant staff, including serving and kitchen operations
- Oversee food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Ensure food production, cooking, and presentation meets expected quality standards.
- Lead team management efforts by providing training, support, and motivation to staff members
- Ensure efficient service delivery during busy periods, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
- Assist in the development of menus and drinks offerings in collaboration with the General Manager and culinary team
- Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and manage inventory control
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to uphold excellent service standards
- Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming environment in both the bar and dining areas
Qualifications
- Proven supervisory experience within a bar and restaurant or hospitality setting is essential
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively
- Extensive restaurant experience including food presentation and serving roles
- Knowledge of food safety standards and food production
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask under pressure
- Good communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
