The postholders will be required to work 48 hours per week, on a rotated shift basis. Details of shifts will be provided when you arrive at the camp but will be subject to change based on operational need.
Package
Accrued holiday allowance will be paid at the end of the engagement at the rate of 12.08% of salary
Job Description
Camp St Mary’s London is an ambitious new venture at St Mary’s University hosting an English-language summer camp for approximately 350 international students per week in July and 125 in August.
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate House Parents to join our residential team.
Your primary focus is the day-to-day management of students within their assigned residential buildings though, you will also play a collaborative role in the wider camp program, including supporting the activity staff during evening on-site events and potentially escorting groups on excursions.
The ideal candidate will possess a positive, empathetic approach to working with juniors and a genuine interest in supporting diverse cultures. St Mary's University staff have a responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children with whom they come into contact and are required to adhere to and ensure compliance with Safeguarding Policy at all times.
The appointment will be subject to satisfactory references as well as medical clearance, an enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), evidence of eligibility to work in the UK and evidence of qualifications. All of the above checks must have been completed before the start of the employment.
