Your Responsibilities as a Sales Controller:

Talks with and listens to customers to build rapport and understands their requirements.

Qualifies own understanding of the customer’s needs – through discussion and gauging the customer’s reaction to alternative options – to build the closest possible match between the product and customer.

Demonstrates the most suitable options to the customer, understanding and adapting to their buying strategy and encouraging them to experience the product through a test drive.

Uses in-depth product knowledge to guide the customer towards the best choice for them.

Works with colleagues and other teams across the Centre to provide continuous improvement and seamless service to customers (e.g. attending to Aftersales customers, with the aim of obtaining new business).

Ensures opportunities for sales by other teams are followed up by the most appropriate specialist (e.g. Fleet Sales).
What we are looking for in a Sales Controller:

Previous experience in a Sales Controller or similar customer-focused sales administration role.

A proven track record of delivering outstanding customer service while supporting a busy sales operation.

Confident managing multiple customer enquiries and administrative tasks simultaneously, maintaining accuracy under pressure.

Highly organised, with excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise competing workloads effectively.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to build positive relationships with customers and colleagues.

Proactive and solution-focused, taking ownership of tasks and seeing them through to completion.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment where priorities can change quickly.

Self-motivated and able to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team.

Target-driven, with an understanding of how excellent administration and customer service contribute to sales performance.

IT literate, with experience using CRM, dealership management, or other sales administration systems (or the ability to learn new systems quickly).

Keen to develop product knowledge and stay up to date with business processes and industry developments.
