Health and Safety Advisor (Ref: WCSR0001137)
Grade: 6. Salary £35801 to £40075 per annum pro rata (plus generous staff benefits package)
(Initial salary placement will normally be on the first point of the scale and will increase by annual incremental progression)
Hours: 35 per week
Contract: Temporary for 6 months, in the first instance.
Location: Primarily based in the Clydebank Campus, with a requirement to travel to and work from any of our campuses

Key Areas of Expertise:
To excel in this role, you will bring solid experience across major Health & Safety topics, including: Risk Assessments, Occupational Health Surveillance Programmes, Occupational Hygiene Monitoring Programmes, Inspections, Audits and Systems Management.
Skills and Competencies:
In addition to your technical expertise, you'll need:
· NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health.
· Relevant SCQF Level 7 qualification or equivalent (e.g. HNC)
- Experience in Microsoft 365 to interpret, analyse and present data, draft reports and safety procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to persuade and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- A strong capacity for analytical thought and problem-solving.
- Project management skills to drive health and safety initiatives to successful completion.
