Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Process Setter specializing in Blow Moulding to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, and maintaining blow moulding machinery to ensure optimal production efficiency and product quality. Your expertise will help drive continuous improvement initiatives, troubleshoot technical issues, and support the manufacturing process from start-up through to production runs. Duties and Responsibilities
- Work in accordance with safe working practices at all times applying the principles of a zero-accident mentality.
- Completion of daily safety checks; Maintenance of a safe, clean, and tidy work area in cooperation with the other shift workers
- Monitor and react to job boards, prioritising tasks to meet business objectives
- Optimise process setting of machinery in line with company KPI with the aim of delivering quality products
- Continuous improvements with the aim achieving targeted cycle times and specified quality as quickly as possible.
- Maximise efficiency through set-up of ancillary equipment, including conveyors.
- Achieve best possible processing performance.
- Collaborate with Team members and Quality colleagues to achieve customer quality standards
- Liaise with Production team over process actions taken, and advise on diagnostic signs and prevention
- Assist in the development of team with regards to quality and packaging expectations
- Able to communicate clearly at all levels. Leadership responsibilities will be required during holiday periods.
Experience & Skills required
You must be self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative. The role will be hands-on and will give you an opportunity to use your knowledge and experience to positively contribute to a busy production environment.
The preferred candidate will possess the following attributes:
- The ideal candidate will have a positive approach to health and safety engagement, be capable of working unsupervised and able to make independent structured decisions.
- Technical polymer processing knowledge is essential to the role, with particular attention to Quality, Safety, Continuous improvement, and process efficiency.
- Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for machine operation and troubleshooting.
- Applicants should have experience of working within a Blow moulding technical/processing role.
- He/she will be expected to fully engage within business growth and future organisational objectives, be accountable for personal actions and demonstrate a positive approach to work activities.
- Flexible, highly motivated and driven with the ability to prioritise own workload, possess strong intellect, good logical fault-finding analysis capabilities and who can demonstrate the ability to make decisions and empower people to drive actions forward.
- Results orientated, with ability to deliver results in a rapidly changing environment. Excellent attention to detail is a must
- Possess excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, and be a confident Team Player
- Proactive and dynamic approach to health, safety and environmental situations.
- Be ambitious, driven and tenacious with the hunger to succeed and deliver results

Working hours, Salary & Benefits Package
- Working hours: 3 shift rotating over 5 days (40.75 hrs p/wk ave.) Wk1: 3 x Days (Wed-Fri); Wk :2 3 X Nights (Mon- Wed); Wk 3: 2 X days, 1 rest days, 2 X nights (Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri).
- Annual salary £37,000 - £37,800 pa
