CLASS 1 HGV CONTAINER TRAMPING DRIVER
£14.00 per hour | 55 hours guaranteed | Monday–Friday Tramping
We are looking for a professional and reliable Class 1 (C+E) Container Driver to join our transport operation.
This is a full-time tramping position, offering the security of 55 guaranteed paid hours every week, regardless of fluctuations in workload.
£14/hour with 55 guaranteed hours, the guaranteed basic is £770 gross per week. With 4 × £26 nights out (£104), the typical weekly package is £874 including nights-out allowance.

THE JOB
This is a Class 1 container tramping role, involving collections and deliveries across the UK.
The driver will generally be away from Monday and return towards the end of the working week, completing container movements between ports, depots and customer locations.
The position would suit an experienced Class 1 driver who enjoys tramping and wants the stability of guaranteed weekly hours rather than relying on variable day-to-day earnings.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Full UK C+E / Class 1 licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Container experience preferred
- Port experience advantageous
- Good understanding of drivers' hours and Working Time Directive requirements
- Comfortable tramping Monday–Friday
- Reliable and punctual
- Professional when dealing with customers
- Good vehicle care
- Strong safety awareness
- Able to work independently
Previous container experience is desirable

EARNINGS
55 guaranteed hours × £14.00 = £770 per week
