Responsibilities
- Manage and record daily financial transactions using accounting software Xero.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure all accounts payable are processed accurately and promptly.
- Maintain organised financial records, including invoices, receipts, and expense reports.
- Assist with preparing financial reports and summaries to support decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Support month-end closing activities by verifying data accuracy and completing necessary documentation.
- Respond to vendor inquiries related to payments and account balances in a professional manner.
- Credit control
- VAT return
- Payroll and PAYE
Experience
- Experience working as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting support role.
- Experience with Xero accounting software
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial recordkeeping.
- Familiarity with managing multiple accounts and reconciling discrepancies efficiently.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication within the team.
- AAT Bookkeeping level 2 or working towards

£27,000 pro rata - 20 hours per week.
