Join a rapidly growing eCommerce company with exciting potential and a dynamic work environment. We're looking for a reliable and detail-oriented individual with a keen interest in small kitchen appliances and consumer electrical products.
About the Role
This is a hands-on role focused on the diagnostic testing, repair and quality control of a wide variety of small domestic appliances — particularly coffee machines, fans, heaters, pizza ovens, scooters and more. Your work will help ensure that products are safe, functional, and ready for resale.
Key Responsibilities
Inspection & Testing
- Receive and log appliances for testing.
- Carry out electrical safety checks (PAT testing) where applicable and visual inspections.
- Test appliances for faults using appropriate tools, test rigs, and procedures.
- Complete relevant checklists and documentation to meet compliance standards.
Repair & Refurbishment
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults.
- Replace faulty parts as required.
- Clean and refurbish machines to company presentation standards.
- Reassemble, test, and verify operation before sign-off.
Compliance & Safety
- Maintain safe working environment and ensure correct use of PPE.
- Follow Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) regulations for disposal of parts.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate service records for each appliance.
- Produce test certificates and repair reports where applicable.
- Report recurring faults or design issues to management for review.
- Provide technical feedback to colleagues, suppliers, and customers when required.
What We’re Looking For
Experience/Knowledge:
- Basic experience in the use of hand tools including screwdrivers, spanners, pliers etc.
Technical Skills:
- Good IT skills and the ability to learn new software quickly.
