We are currently recruiting HGV Class 2 Technical Installation Drivers based in St Albans .
The Role
As a Technical Installation Driver, you will be responsible for the delivery, positioning, installation, and collection of office-based equipment at customer sites. This is a customer-facing role that combines professional driving with technical installation duties, ensuring equipment is set up correctly and ready for use.
Key Responsibilities:
- HGV Class 2 deliveries to commercial and business premises
- Safe loading, transportation, and unloading of equipment
- Positioning and installing equipment at customer locations
- Carrying out basic configuration, connectivity, and functionality checks
- Providing customers with a professional handover of installed equipment
- Collecting and returning equipment when required
- Completing delivery and installation documentation accurately
- Maintaining high standards of customer service at all times
- Following all health and safety procedures on customer sites
Shift Pattern
- Monday to Friday
- Start times between 05:00 and 07:00
- Regular, ongoing work
Pay Rates
Monday to Friday
- £16.46 per hour
- £18.29 per hour after 9 hours
- £22.51 per hour on Bank Holidays
Driver Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Minimum 12 months' experience driving this class of vehicle
- Previous experience in delivery, installation, or customer-facing roles is advantageous
- No more than 6 endorsement points
- No DR, DD, or CD endorsements
- Professional, reliable, and safety-conscious
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable with manual handling and installation duties
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow installation procedures
