Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Garden Maintenance Operative to join our team. We are looking for someone to help maintain beautiful outdoor spaces. Training will be given, but previous experience is a bonus, it is not essential if you have the right work ethic. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor green spaces, ensuring they are healthy, attractive, and well-kept. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about gardening and horticulture to develop their skills in landscape maintenance within a professional environment.
Responsibilities
- Garden Upkeep: You will use a variety of hand and power tools (such as mowers, hedge trimmers, and leaf blowers) to keep gardens healthy and well-presented.
- Horticultural Care: Tasks include pruning, trimming, and weeding to promote plant health and keep gardens looking their best.
- Planting: You will assist with planting new greenery, including shrubs, flowers, and trees, to develop vibrant garden spaces.
- Lawn Care: You will operate mowers and strimmer’s to maintain neat, healthy lawns.
- Conduct regular inspections of outdoor spaces to identify issues such as pests or disease.
- Equipment & Safety: You will be responsible for cleaning and storing tools appropriately and following health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Experience
- A genuine interest in gardening and a strong, reliable approach to outdoor work.
- Familiarity with hand tools such as secateurs, spades, and rakes.
- Experience operating power tools including lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, and leaf blowers.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and their installation or repair is advantageous.
- Growing experience or understanding of plant care principles is beneficial.
Pay: £14.50-£15.50 per hour
