For September 2026 Gordon's School is seeking a highly organised, professional and proactive Governance Clerk to support our Governing Body and Trustee Committee. This is a rewarding opportunity for an individual with excellent administrative, communication and governance skills to play a vital role in ensuring the effective operation of school governance.
As Governance Clerk, you will provide expert advice and guidance on governance, constitutional and procedural matters, helping Governors and Trustees fulfil their responsibilities and maintain the highest standards of governance.
We are looking for someone with experience of working with a board, committee, senior leadership team or governance structure with a strong understanding of effective governance practices. You will also have excellent organisational skills and able to work independently and maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
The hours are approximately 15 hours per week term time plus two weeks and includes some evenings and weekends.
