Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all bar activities, ensuring smooth service during shifts
- Lead and motivate bartenders and serving staff to deliver top-notch customer service
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, spirits, and non-alcoholic options
- Oversee food preparation related to bar snacks and light culinary offerings, maintaining high standards of food safety and quality
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of alcohol and ingredients
- Enforce responsible alcohol service policies in compliance with legal regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to health and safety standards
- Train new team members on bartending techniques, food handling, and customer service protocols
- support our Programming and Events Manager with planning and facilitating the food and beverage aspects of events
Requirements
- Proven experience (2-3 years) in bartending, food preparation, or restaurant service with a focus on beverage programs
- Supervising or team management experience in hospitality settings such as bars, restaurants, or hotels
- Strong knowledge of mixology, food safety practices, and food production processes
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with hospitality industry standards, including serving regulations and health codes
- Previous experience with kitchen operations or culinary tasks such as cooking or food presentation is a plus
- Barista experience or knowledge of coffee preparation can be beneficial but is not required
- an interest in the Arts is essential
- Experience in producing arts events or supporting with the technical side of events is desirable but not essential
