We are recruiting a Postdoctoral Researcher to join the of Professor Adrian Saurin in the Department of Genome Integrity at The University of Dundee. This is a fixed-term appointment for 36 months in the first instance, with possible extension thereafter.
We are looking for a talented ambitious postdoctoral researcher to join a Cancer Research UK-funded programme to examine the role of cell enlargement and senescence in cancer progression and treatment. This builds on our recent work demonstrating a role for cell enlargement in driving senescence (1-2) and genome instability (3) following anti-cancer therapy.

Your priorities will include:
- Using various 'omics approaches to examine how cell enlargement drives senescence following cancer therapy
- Using a wide range of cell biology methods, including live-cell microscopy, to characterise the transition into senescence
- Studying how cell enlargement drives genome instability following senescence evasion or escape.
- Performing CRISPR screens to identify targetable vulnerabilities in enlarged mammalian cell types.
Who we are looking for:
- A highly-motivated and ambitious postdoctoral researcher with a passion for science
- A candidate with a PhD in relevant scientific area, with at least one main author publication.
- A candidate with a strong scientific background in cell biology and experience of working in the senescence field.
