Job Purpose:
This role provides accounts support to all departments in Awdry Law, in regard to client transactions and the financial functions of the operational side of running the firm.
Typical Activities:
Responsibility for: -
· Day to day online client banking.
· All stages of conveyancing completions from checking completion packs to managing the completion transactions.
· Transaction postings to client ledgers including disbursements, costs, fees and monies in/out.
· Dealing with client credit/debit card transactions, cheques and cash.
· Maintaining client ledgers
· Month end reporting
Support with: -
· The operational business e.g. raising payment runs
· Entering Invoices onto the accounts system
ESSENTIAL AND DESIRABLE SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
· Experience of working in a busy accounts environment and dealing with daily deadlines.
· A high level of attention to detail, data entry and typing at speed.
· To work well within a close-knit team and support all departments within the Firm.
· The ability to remain calm, polite and focused when dealing with clients and our employees.
· Good IT skills with Microsoft packages.
· To manage own workload and demonstrate ownership of same.
· Excellent communication skills
Desirable:
· Experience of using software specific to Law firms, Sage Accounts, or equivalent.
· Experience in a book-keeping environment.
· Experience in investor funding, or handling client monies.
· Knowledge of SRA rules
