We’re Hiring: Nursery Chef

We are looking for an exceptional Nursery Chef to join our warm, nurturing, UK-based EYFS & Montessori nursery, where mealtimes are seen as an essential part of children’s learning, independence, wellbeing, and development.
This is more than just a cooking role—we are looking for someone passionate about creating delicious homemade meals, full of nutrition, goodness, and variety, helping our children develop healthy eating habits, adventurous tastes, strong immunity, and a lifelong positive relationship with food.
Your role will include:
* Preparing fresh, nutritious homemade lunch, snacks, and tea-time meals daily
* Catering for children aged 6 months to 5 years
* Creating balanced menus that support children’s growth, development, and wellbeing in line with EYFS standards
* Introducing children to a variety of flavours, textures, and healthy ingredients in a Montessori-inspired environment
* Managing and strictly adhering to allergy awareness, dietary requirements, and cultural/family preferences
* Maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene, safety, and kitchen organisation
* Working collaboratively with our nursery team to make mealtimes meaningful, calm, and enjoyable learning experiences
What we’re looking for:
- Food Safety Level 2 or 3 qualification (essential)
- A genuine passion for children’s nutrition and healthy cooking
- Experience preparing meals for young children (preferred)
- Strong understanding of allergies, intolerances, and specialist dietary needs
- Knowledge of healthy menu planning and portioning for early years children
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
- Someone who shares our values of care, respect, independence, and excellence
Working hours: 9:00am – 3:00pm, Monday to Friday (candidate doesnt need to be present the whole time) - Flexible
Location: North West London
Salary:£13 - £15 /hour
