We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Team Leader - Cleaning to oversee daily cleaning operations across various facilities. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily cleaning activities, ensuring all tasks meet established standards of quality and safety.
- Lead, motivate, and support cleaning staff, providing clear instructions, training, and performance feedback.
- Conduct regular inspections of work areas to verify cleanliness, safety compliance, and proper use of cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed to prevent shortages.
- Enforce health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with management to develop improvement plans for cleaning processes and implement best practices across teams.
- Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitising surfaces
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, kitchens, laboratories and communal areas to high standards
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles, with a strong understanding of cleaning procedures and standards.
- Previous leadership experience in a supervisory or team leader capacity within a cleaning or facilities management environment.
- Knowledge of hospital or healthcare facility cleaning protocols is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively lead teams, provide training, and liaise with management.
- Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced settings.
- Strong organizational skills with the capability to manage supplies, schedules, and documentation accurately.
- Commitment to safety protocols and the ability to enforce compliance consistently.
