Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cleaning Operative (Part-Time) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across your designated areas. You will ensure all cleaning tasks are carried out efficiently, in accordance with company standards, and in compliance with all relevant health and safety policies and procedures.
Duties
Site Cleaning
- Carry out scheduled cleaning duties across the Edge Lane site.
- Clean offices, work areas, toilets, canteens, kitchens, corridors, and other communal areas.
- Follow the cleaning rota to ensure all assigned tasks are completed efficiently.
Equipment
- Use cleaning equipment and materials safely and correctly.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and report any faults or damage to the Cleaning Supervisor.
- Ensure cleaning supplies are stored safely and securely.
Health & Safety
- Comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act and all company health and safety procedures.
- Follow emergency procedures when required.
- Report hazards, defects, accidents, and near misses promptly to the Cleaning Supervisor.
- Always Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
General Duties
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the site.
- Work effectively as part of the cleaning team while also being able to work independently.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties appropriate to the role and within your capabilities.
Experience
Essential
- Previous cleaning experience.
Desirable
- Industrial or commercial cleaning experience.
- Experience using commercial cleaning equipment.
- Knowledge of factory Health & Safety procedures.
Working Hours
- 10 hours per week
- Monday to Thursday: 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm
- Friday: 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm or 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm (subject to operational requirements)
