Experienced Fire & Security Installation Engineer
Location: Manchester and Lancashire
Job type: Full-time, permanent
We are looking for an experienced Fire & Security Installation Engineer to join our growing team, working across Manchester, Lancashire and the surrounding areas.
You will install and commission a range of fire and security systems for commercial & industrial customers while maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer service.
Key responsibilities
- Install and commission fire alarm, intruder alarm, CCTV and access-control systems
- Carry out system upgrades, alterations and occasional fault finding
- Complete testing, certification and job documentation accurately
- Work independently and as part of a wider installation team
- Communicate professionally with customers, site managers and other trades
- Follow relevant regulations, British Standards and health and safety procedures
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience installing fire and security systems
- Good understanding of current industry standards and regulations
- Experience with a range of fire and security equipment
- Ability to read drawings, specifications and technical documents
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Professional, reliable and customer-focused approach
- ECS/CSCS card and relevant manufacturer training are desirable
- Electrical qualifications and FIA training would be advantageous
- Ability to pass the necessary background and security checks
