We are looking to recruit an experienced Finance Manager, on a part time basis to join our friendly team in our Bath office.
The role entails a broad range of duties from day-to-day bookkeeping to preparing the monthly and year-end financial accounts for the Directors and our Accountants.
You will enjoy working in a team environment and be confident to work in a unique role within the practice and manage your own time and resources. We use Xero for both our finance package and payroll and a project management database CMAP. Knowledge of these, or similar would be an advantage. You will be an experienced user of Excel and keen to further develop our financial information to support the needs of the business.
Key responsibilities include:
· Managing all day-to-day financial transactions and bookkeeping
· Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Preparation of annual budgets and labour rate calculations.
- Lead the monthly invoicing and close process including timesheet reconciliation and encourage a positive project management culture.
· Processing payroll and pension submissions
· Preparing VAT returns and ensuring statutory compliance
· Managing cash flow and bank reconciliations
· Monitoring budgets and forecasting financial performance
· Liaising with external accountants, auditors and HMRC
· Preparing year-end information and supporting the annual accounts process
· Reviewing financial processes and identifying opportunities for improvement
· Providing financial insight and support to the Directors
You will hold AAT or CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting or be part qualified/qualified by experience in a relevant business environment.

Pay: £33,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
