Litigation Paralegal
Location: Stockport or Chester
Working Pattern: Full Time | Hybrid Working Available
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Litigation Paralegal to join a highly regarded and growing Dispute Resolution team with a well-established North West law firm.
This role offers exposure to high-quality litigation work and the opportunity to work closely with experienced lawyers on a broad range of complex and interesting disputes. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting fee earners whilst developing their own technical knowledge and career within litigation.
The Role:
You will assist senior team members across a varied caseload of dispute resolution matters, supporting the progression of cases from initial enquiry through to resolution.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting fee earners with a range of supervised fee-earning tasks
- Preparing court documents, bundles and correspondence
- Handling new client enquiries
- Attending client meetings, mediations and court hearings, taking detailed notes and managing follow-up actions
- Providing client updates and maintaining strong client relationships
- Liaising with courts, solicitors and third parties to progress matters efficiently
- Managing incoming calls and enquiries, escalating urgent matters where appropriate
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with quality and risk procedures
About You:
Applications are welcomed from Paralegals with at least 12 months' experience within Litigation or Dispute Resolution.
You will ideally have exposure to one or more of the following areas:
- Commercial and contract disputes
- Property litigation
- Partnership and shareholder disputes
- Intellectual property disputes
You will also possess:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confidence using case management systems
- A proactive and professional approach
- A genuine interest in developing a career within litigation
