Join Our Team as Chef – Jubilee House Nursing Home, Whitby
30 hours a week over 3 days
Are you passionate about preparing tasty, nutritious meals that make a positive difference every day? Jubilee House Nursing Home is looking for a dedicated Cook to work alongside our Head Chef and support the smooth running of our kitchen.
Working on a rotational basis, you will cover opposite days to the Head Chef and ensure that residents continue to enjoy high‑quality, home‑cooked meals all week round.

What We’re Looking For:
- Someone confident in preparing a range of nutritious dishes
- A Cook who is organised, reliable and passionate about good food
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- A supportive team player who is comfortable taking direction from the Head Chef
- Someone who can maintain consistency when working independently on opposite days
Your Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals in line with the weekly menu and residents’ dietary needs
- Work opposite and report directly to the Head Chef, ensuring consistent standards
- Support menu planning and contribute ideas for seasonal or themed dishes
- Maintain clean, safe and compliant kitchen practices at all times
- Work collaboratively with the Lead Chef, Home Manager and wider care team
