Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies aligned with industry standards such as NIST and ISO 27002 to protect organizational assets.
- Configure and manage network security devices including firewalls (Cisco ASA), IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and VPN solutions to monitor and control network traffic.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, incident response activities, and threat analysis utilizing SIEM tools like Splunk or SolarWinds to identify and mitigate security risks.
- Maintain secure network architectures by managing routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), LAN/WAN configurations, load balancing, high availability setups, and disaster recovery plans.
- Oversee system administration tasks across operating systems such as Windows, Linux (Debian, CentOS, Ubuntu), macOS, and Android/iOS environments.
- Implement encryption protocols (SSL/TLS), PKI infrastructure, LDAP/Active Directory integrations, and cloud security measures within AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or private cloud architectures.
- Support network installation, support for network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS), cloud infrastructure deployment using Terraform or Ansible, and virtualization platforms like VMware vSphere.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with computer networking concepts including TCP/IP, IPsec VPNs, Ethernet switching, VLANs, and MPLS.
- Strong knowledge of network security tools such as firewalls (Cisco ASA), IDS/IPS systems, SIEM platforms (Splunk), and network monitoring solutions like SolarWinds or PRTG.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks including NIST standards and ISO 27002 best practices for information security management.
- Hands-on experience with cloud computing services (AWS, Azure) and cloud architecture design principles for secure deployment.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash (Unix shell scripting), PowerShell or Python for automation tasks.
- Ability to perform incident management activities including threat detection, response planning, root cause analysis, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CEH or Cisco ISE certification are highly desirable.

Pay: £25,420.00-£48,180.32 per year
