Job Overview:
Mathnasium Surbiton Assistant Centre Managers (ACM) are trainee managers with aspirations to become Centre Managers. ACMs are dynamic, enthusiastic individuals with entrepreneurial and organisational skills needed to successfully operate a thriving learning centre. This ACM position is primarily sales and marketing focused. ACMs are able to generate leads, close memberships for our centre and continuously improve our sales effectiveness. ACMs are able to achieve this through proactive marketing, effective sales techniques, and empathetic parent/carer communication. ACMs are motivated individuals who thrive on hands-on work, enjoy problem-solving, and want to grow within a supportive environment that values safety, teamwork, and excellence, but most of all, ACMs must have a great rapport with our parents and learners.
Responsibilities:
- Lead your team under the direction of the Board to ensure that we provide the best possible maths tutoring to our learners
- Lead by example to ensure that you and your team keep learners safe by managing and espousing our Health, Safety and Safeguarding protocols procedures.
- Execute marketing and create captivating campaigns at a local level to generate leads
- Present polished, compelling sales messages to parents/carers, to create learner enrolment and reach targets
- Engage with the local community, network, build strong school and business relationships
- Execute superior customer service, communicating learner progress to parents/carers regularly and confidently resulting in learner retention
- Manage complaints and concerns in a way that improves community cohesion and improves Mathnasium’s relationship with stakeholders
- Administer Mathnasium curriculum through accurate learner assessment and diagnosis to monitor and ensure continued learner progression and mastery
- Inspire and lead a team to deliver Mathnasium methodology
- To oversee staff induction, training and continuous professional development
- To maintain accurate data for reporting and analysis purposes
- To manage financial aspects of parent/carer billing and payments
- Responsible for management of staff costs and centre costs
Personal Specification:

- Demonstrate leadership skills and experience in a management or supervisory role

- Superb organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines

- Strong maths skills and a Higher Education qualification
Preferred:
- Previous Mathnasium Experience (Signup Bonus)
- Previous educational, teaching or tutoring experience
- Degree level qualification
- Business acumen and basic accounting skills
