Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Tax Advisory Manager to lead our tax planning and compliance strategies within our financial services division. The successful candidate will oversee complex tax issues, provide strategic advice to clients, and ensure adherence to relevant regulations. Duties
- Lead and manage comprehensive tax advisory services for a diverse portfolio of clients specialising in financial services.
- Analyse complex financial data to identify tax optimisation opportunities and minimise liabilities.
- Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements using accounting software including Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks.
- Provide expert guidance on accounts payable processes and optimise financial planning strategies.
- Develop tailored tax strategies aligned with clients’ business objectives while adhering to current legislation.
- Collaborate with internal teams to implement effective financial solutions and improve overall accounting practices.
- Conduct detailed analysis to support decision-making processes related to taxation and financial reporting.
- Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations affecting the financial sector to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Train and mentor junior staff members on technical aspects of tax advisory work and utilisation of accounting software tools.
Experience
- Proven experience in financial services with a strong background in financial accounting, analysis skills, and tax advisory roles.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, including practical application in a professional setting.
- Demonstrable expertise in accounts payable management and comprehensive financial planning.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data accurately and efficiently.
- Previous leadership experience managing teams or projects within a professional environment is highly desirable.
- Relevant professional qualifications or certifications in accountancy or taxation are preferred but not essential.
