Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Operations Coordinator to join our growing Electrical Compliance team. This is a pivotal role responsible for planning, scheduling and coordinating our engineers to ensure works are delivered efficiently, safely and to the highest standard.
Working closely with our Sales, Operations and Engineering teams, you will coordinate engineer schedules, manage job documentation, monitor project progress and ensure all required paperwork is completed and returned promptly. Your organisation and attention to detail will directly contribute to delivering an excellent customer experience while supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Scheduling
- Schedule electrical engineers across multiple client sites throughout the UK.
- Plan engineer workloads to maximise productivity and minimise travel time.
- Allocate engineers based on qualifications, competencies, location and availability.
- Coordinate appointments with clients and communicate scheduled works.
- Manage changes to engineer schedules due to emergencies, customer requests or unforeseen circumstances.
- Monitor engineer utilisation and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
- Ensure all jobs are completed within agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
Job Preparation
- Prepare and issue all job packs before engineers attend site.
- Ensure engineers receive all relevant documentation including:
- Site information
- Scope of works
- Risk assessments
- Method statements
- Client-specific requirements
- Drawings and plans (where applicable)
- Equipment requirements
- Liaise with clients where additional site information is required.
- Ensure all compliance documentation is available prior to attendance.
Engineer Support
- Act as the primary point of contact for engineers throughout the working day.
- Provide operational support and resolve scheduling issues.
- Assist with access arrangements, permits and customer queries.
- Maintain regular communication with engineers regarding job progress.
Documentation & Compliance
- Ensure completed paperwork is received from engineers promptly following each visit.
- Review documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Chase outstanding reports, certificates and site documentation where necessary.
- Ensure documentation is uploaded and stored within company systems.
- Maintain accurate records of completed works.
Sales & Commercial Support
- Work closely with the Sales team to ensure smooth delivery of awarded projects.
- Provide completed reports and documentation to the Sales team promptly.
- Highlight any observations, defects or additional works identified by engineers.
- Ensure opportunities for remedial works, upgrades or additional compliance services are passed to the Sales team for quotation.
- Support project handovers between Sales and Operations.
Client Communication
- Maintain excellent relationships with clients.
- Confirm appointments and manage customer expectations.
- Provide updates regarding engineer attendance and project progress.
- Respond professionally to client enquiries regarding scheduled works.
Administration
- Update company CRM and scheduling systems.
- Maintain accurate engineer calendars.
- Produce operational reports when required.
- Assist with resource planning and forecasting.
- Support continuous improvement of operational processes.
Skills & Experience Essential
- Previous experience in an Operations Coordinator, Service Coordinator, Resource Planner or Scheduling role.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills with customers, engineers and internal teams.
- High attention to detail.
- Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel.
- Experience using scheduling, CRM or job management software.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
Desirable
- Experience within Electrical Compliance, Electrical Contracting, Facilities Management or Engineering.
- Knowledge of electrical testing, inspection or compliance services.
- Understanding of RAMS, permits and compliance documentation.
- Experience coordinating field-based engineers.

Pay: £26,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
