Overview
Sewell Mullings Logie Solicitors are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Secretary and Relief Cashier to join our dynamic team. This versatile role combines essential administrative support for legal professionals alongside cashier responsibilities, ensuring smooth operations across multiple functions. The ideal candidate will bring energy, organisation and excellent communication skills to facilitate efficient legal processes and financial transactions.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to legal staff, including managing correspondence, scheduling appointments and preparing legal documents through accurate audio typing.
- Assist in organising legal files, maintaining confidentiality and ensuring document accuracy.
- Perform relief cashier duties by processing payments, issuing receipts, managing transactions and balancing accounts when required. (This is likely to be for at least 6 weeks of the year).
- Handle incoming inquiries from clients with professionalism and clear communication.
- Use Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel and Outlook to prepare documents and correspondence efficiently. This will be alongside our Case Management System.
- Manage time effectively to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
Skills
- Proficiency in audio typing with high accuracy for preparing legal documents swiftly.
- Strong administrative experience with excellent organisational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Exceptional communication skills for liaising with clients, colleagues and third parties confidently.
- Skilled in using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook for daily operations.
- Good IT knowledge to troubleshoot basic technical issues and adapt to new software tools quickly.
- Effective time management abilities to balance administrative duties with cashier responsibilities.
- Demonstrated organisational skills to maintain meticulous records of legal files and financial transactions.

Pay: £25,420.00-£34,000.00 per year
