Prep Chef – Production & Development

We’re looking for a Prep Chef to join our growing Production & Development team at Supermarket of Dreams.
Job purpose:
Around 50% hands-on prep (sandwiches, salads and grab-and-go food for the shop) and 50% recipe development, working with the team to test and develop new ideas using exceptional seasonal produce from Supermarket of Dreams and Notting Hill Fish & Meat.
This role would suit a foodie Commis or CDP who wants to build experience in food development, product ranging, and working closely with high-quality ingredients — all in a daytime, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily prep of sandwiches, salads and grab-and-go items for Supermarket of Dreams
- Support the team in developing and testing new recipes and products
- Work with seasonal, premium produce across meat, fish and veg
- Help refine the range based on feedback and sales performance
- Maintain excellent standards of food safety, hygiene and organisation
About You
- Experience as a Commis Chef or CDP in a professional kitchen
- Passionate about food, produce and learning new skills
- Organised, reliable and keen to develop creatively
- Looking to gain hands-on experience in food production and development
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
