Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to support our busy culinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment, ensuring smooth daily operations. Duties
- Wash, clean, and sanitise dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen supervisors.
- Support the organisation of kitchen storage areas, including stock rotation and inventory management.
- Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and other areas within the kitchen to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
- Help with waste disposal and recycling procedures efficiently.
- Support the team during busy service periods by ensuring all necessary items are prepared and available.
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to prevent accidents or contamination.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
- Experience in food preparation or cooking is desirable but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and basic culinary procedures can be beneficial.
- A background in serving or hospitality roles demonstrates strong organisational skills and customer service awareness.
