We are looking for enthusiastic, flexible and reliable Casual Bars & Events Supervisor to join our team in Digbeth.
The successful candidates will be responsible for managing the event from the front at its entirety with a team of casual events staff from set up to service delivery and post event closedown
The ideal candidate should have good strong leadership , excellent customer service skills, a good knowledge of service excellence and alcoholic beverage service, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with a good flare in managing events
Oval Digbeth Events have three large venues across the Digbeth Estate. with capacities of 1500 Guests.
Weddings, Conferences, Dinners, after show parties, Film & Production, and many more.
Responsibilities:
- Setting up events, leading events to service delivery and post event breakdown
- supporting event managers on events
- ownership and accountability of the contracted event schedule
- managing a casual workforce with flare and leadership
- ensuring event is delivered as per the event schedule and contract.
- Team briefings & Task allocation
- Opening and Closing of venues
- completing compliance checks & handovers
- Greet customers and take orders.
- Event setting up & closing down Front & Back of house
- Ensure the bar is stocked with supplies.
- Clean and maintain the bar area.
- Ensure all drinks are served in accordance with legal requirements.
- Check customer identification to ensure they are of legal drinking age.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for customers and staff.
- Resolve customer complaints in a professional manner.
- Hospitality management service, including, table service, buffet service, canapes service, high profile event service and Kitchen experience
- Full Bar service, including cocktails, tray service , table service & drinks receptions
- Our Venues can run from early morning's, evenings and until the early hours dependant of the event.
- End of shift finance reporting
Pay: £13.60 per hour
Experience:
- Bartending/Cocktails: 2 years (required)
- Weddings: 1 year (required)
- Events & Bars Supervisor: 2 years (required)
