CCTV / Network Installation Engineer

Salary: £25,500 - £30,000 per year depending on experience
PCN Computer Services is looking for a CCTV / Network Installation Engineer to join our growing team.
This role would suit either an experienced installation engineer or someone at the beginning of their career who is practical, enthusiastic and keen to learn. Previous CCTV or networking experience is not essential for the right person, as training can be provided.
The Role
You’ll work with our team installing, maintaining and supporting CCTV, networking and related technology for our customers.
Typical work will include:
- Installing and configuring CCTV camera systems
- Installing network cabling, including Cat5e/Cat6
- Fitting network cabinets, switches, wireless access points and associated equipment
- Running and terminating cables
- Testing and troubleshooting network connections
- Installing equipment neatly and professionally at customer sites
- Assisting with fault finding, maintenance and upgrades
- Working alongside our IT and installation teams on larger projects
- Travelling to customer sites as required
Who We're Looking For
You don’t need to already be an expert.
We’re particularly interested in someone who:
- Has a practical, hands-on approach to work
- Is interested in technology, networking, CCTV or electronics
- Is willing to learn and develop new skills
- Takes pride in doing a neat and professional job
- Is reliable, punctual and comfortable working as part of a team
- Is confident dealing with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Is comfortable using basic hand and power tools
- Is happy working in different environments and occasionally at height
- Has good attention to detail
- Has interest in IT Systems
Previous experience with CCTV systems, structured cabling, networking, access control or IT would be an advantage, but it is not essential.
Junior / Trainee Applicants
We are very happy to consider applicants looking for their first role in the industry. There will also be some IT Helpdesk and configuration training as well so this is an excellent opportunity to gain insights into all aspects of this industry
