We are looking for a Director, M&A Legal to join us in UKM&A
Role overview
This role reports into the VP Legal and offers the opportunity to play a leading role in shaping complex and high profile transactions across Liberty Global. You will provide clear and thoughtful legal advice across a broad range of matters including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, growth investments and corporate governance activities.
You will work closely with colleagues across legal and business teams to analyse complex issues, manage risk and support informed decision making. This is an opportunity to contribute directly to strategic value creation while working in a collaborative, international environment. You will engage with senior stakeholders and external partners, helping to deliver successful outcomes across multiple concurrent projects.
What will you be doing
Provide legal advice across the full life cycle of transactions, from initial agreements through to completion and follow up activities
Partner with business teams to identify risks and develop practical, commercially aware solutions
Work with colleagues across functions such as finance, tax, treasury and regulatory to deliver coordinated outcomes
Manage relationships with external advisers and support effective oversight of legal spend
Support governance activities including board processes and company secretarial matters
Contribute to portfolio company oversight and support investment related activities
Mentor and support team members, including trainees and early career colleagues

Essential
Strong expertise in company law, mergers and acquisitions and investment related work
Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and support confident decision making
Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
A collaborative approach, with the ability to build trusted relationships across teams
Commercial awareness and a solutions focused mindset
Desirable
Experience in sectors such as telecoms, digital infrastructure, energy, media or technology
Experience supporting governance or company secretarial activities
Experience working across international or cross border environments
