Job summary:
We're looking for a reliable, detail-focused self-employed housekeeper/cleaner to help care for our growing portfolio of holiday homes across Bath.
Roost Bath is an independent holiday property management company specialising in a handpicked collection of boutique holiday homes. We believe every guest should arrive to a property that feels welcoming, spotless and thoughtfully prepared. We're passionate about quality over quantity and are looking for someone who takes genuine pride in creating exceptional first impressions and wants to grow with us as our portfolio continues to expand.
About the role:
You'll be responsible for preparing properties between guest stays, including:
- Cleaning kitchens, bathrooms and living areas
- Changing beds and presenting linen to a high standard
- Sweeping outside areas
- Restocking guest consumables
- Reporting maintenance issues
- Photographing completed cleans
- Ensuring every property is guest-ready
- Report maintenance issues or damages promptly to ensure swift resolution
- Follow safety procedures and adhere to health standards at all times
- Conducting deep cleaning tasks, in line with our deep cleaning schedule
Requirements:
- Previous cleaning experience (holiday lets or hotels / B&Bs preferred)
- Excellent attention to detail
- A smartphone
- Supply own cleaning products (a vacuum cleaner can be provided)
- Ability to work independently without constant supervision
- Full UK drivers licence
- Self-employed status
- Weekday and weekend availability

This is a flexible, self-employed role. Working days are determined by guest bookings, so cleans may be required on any day of the week. Sunday departures that are not followed by a same-day arrival can be cleaned on the next day (Monday). However, if there is a same-day changeover on a Sunday, the property must be cleaned and ready for incoming guests that day.
While we aim to provide cleaning schedules in advance, the nature of holiday letting means that bookings and check-out dates can occasionally change at short notice. Applicants should be reliable, communicative and comfortable adapting to occasional last-minute changes.
Two references will be required for successful applicants.
Pay: £20.00 per hour
