Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Pub Manager to lead our vibrant pub environment. In this role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and manage a dynamic team of hospitality professionals. The Pub Manager is responsible for maintaining high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency while fostering a lively and engaging environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily pub operations, including food preparation, serving, and bar service, ensuring smooth workflow and excellent customer experiences
- Lead and motivate a diverse team of staff members, including bartenders, servers, kitchen personnel, and support staff
- Oversee food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations across all areas of the pub
- Manage inventory levels for food, beverages, and supplies; coordinate ordering and stock control to minimize waste
- Implement training programs to enhance team skills in culinary techniques, customer service, and hospitality standards
- Maintain a lively yet professional atmosphere by monitoring service quality and guest satisfaction
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and foster positive relationships with patrons
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in a hospitality setting such as pubs, restaurants, or hotels
- Extensive restaurant experience with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food production and kitchen management
- Experience in serving and hospitality roles that demonstrate excellent customer engagement skills
- Barista experience or bar management background is advantageous but not mandatory
- Familiarity with culinary processes including food presentation and menu development
