Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Gardening Assistant who must have experience to support our landscape maintenance team in creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces. Responsibilities
- Assist with planting, pruning, weeding, and mulching to ensure healthy plant growth
- Operate hand tools such as secateurs, spades, and rakes to perform routine garden maintenance
- Use irrigation systems effectively to water plants and maintain soil moisture levels
- Handle power tools safely for tasks like edging, trimming, and aerating lawns
- Support the installation of new garden features and landscape elements
- Maintain tidy work areas by removing debris and ensuring tools are stored correctly
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times during outdoor activities
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to high standards
Skills
- Experience with gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance is highly desirable
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and watering techniques
- Growing experience or familiarity with plant care principles is advantageous
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining attention to detail
