James Mearchent & Sons Ltd is a growing roofing contractor delivering high-quality domestic and commercial roofing works across Scotland. Due to increased demand in Glasgow, we are looking for a skilled and reliable roofer to carry out jobbing and reactive repair works.
This role suits someone confident working independently and solving problems on site.

The Role:
You will be responsible for:
- Roofing repairs & fault finding
- Slate & tile replacements
- Leak detection & small patch repairs
- Flat roof repairs (felt / single ply)
- Lead repairs & flashing work
- Chimney repairs & ridge work
- Minor maintenance & call-outs
Most work will be small-to-medium repair jobs rather than full re-roofs.

What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 4+ years roofing experience
- Strong fault-finding ability (must be confident diagnosing leaks)
- Able to work alone and manage own workload
- Must hold a valid CSCS card
- Clean, tidy and professional with customers
- Full UK driving licence essential
- Reliable and good timekeeping
This is not a labourer or improver role.
