Role
We are currently looking for an Assistant Front Desk Manager to join our supervisory team in Front Office at Rosewood London. The Assistant Front Desk Manager is appointed to assist the Front Desk Manager in leading and developing the Front Desk team.
Key expectations of this role
- Support the Front Desk Manager in the day-to-day leadership and supervision of the Front Desk team, ensuring seamless and efficient operations.
- Lead by example in delivering exceptional guest experiences, acting as a visible presence in the lobby and supporting VIP arrivals, guest recovery and service excellence.
- Build strong relationships with guests, associates and stakeholders, creating an environment focused on hospitality, engagement and safety.
- Assist in managing team performance, coaching and developing associates to consistently achieve Rosewood standards and service excellence.
- Ensure departmental procedures, service standards and operational policies are followed and continuously improved.
- Support departmental recruitment, onboarding, training and succession planning activities.
- Work collaboratively with Housekeeping, Butler Services, Accounts and other operational departments to ensure a seamless guest journey.
- Monitor guest feedback and operational performance, identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery and exceed guest expectations.
- Drive upselling initiatives and contribute to achieving departmental and hotel objectives.
- Support the management of departmental rotas, staffing levels, training compliance and operational projects.
Profile
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within an upscale, luxury or high-volume Front Office environment.
- Strong leadership skills with a passion for coaching, mentoring and developing people.
- Excellent knowledge of Front Office operations and guest service standards.
- Proven ability to build relationships and manage a variety of stakeholder expectations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
