We’re excited to be relaunching food service and are looking for an enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant/Chef to join our new kitchen team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside our Kitchen Manager in helping establish a fresh food offering within a busy village pub.
About the Role
Working across:
- Lunch: Tuesday-Sunday (12:00pm-3:00pm)
- Dinner: Tuesday-Sunday (5:00pm-8:00pm)
- Breakfast: Saturday & Sunday (9:00am-11:00am)
You’ll support all aspects of food preparation and service while helping maintain high standards throughout the kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Preparing ingredients and assisting with food service
- Cooking dishes to specification
- Maintaining cleanliness throughout the kitchen
- Washing up and cleaning equipment
- Assisting with stock rotation and deliveries
- Supporting ordering and food preparation
- Completing food safety checks where required
- Following food hygiene and allergen procedures
- Working as part of a positive, supportive team
Requirements
- Previous kitchen experience preferred
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (minimum)
- Passion for producing quality food
- Reliable and hardworking
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Flexible and willing to learn
- Good communication skills
Desirable
- Experience in a pub or restaurant kitchen
- Knowledge of allergen legislation
- Food preparation qualifications
